Du'urlec are an arboreal species frequenting the tall, alpine forests of Rawi'ir. Like several Earthling primates, Du'urlec live in groups of a single male and several females. A male's harem will usually range from 5-10 individuals, which he will defend vehemently. Most grown males have several scars or injuries directly pertaining to such incidents. They hunt as a group, with the males usually leading. Du'urec are usually found in higher lower altitudes than other similar species, in order to stay near volcanic soil that results in prime fertility and growth. Large volcanic craters pocket the land, and these are usually a good place for them to reside. The feed on medium to large prey, depending on the breadth of the group. Offspring are born frequently, perhaps due to the increased warmth and fertility of the land they abide in. They are one of the oldest species on the planet, with their genetic data dating back millions of years. Very little climate change has occurred on Rawi'ir, which is a likely cause for such longevity.
